AANII, SHE:KON, BOOZHOO, HELLO, BONJOUR, TANSI!

The Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre (WISC) is a friendly space on campus where you can connect with other Indigenous (First Nation, Inuit, and Metis) students and members of the Kitchener-Waterloo community. WISC is located in United College at the University of Waterloo.

WISCoffers culturally specific mental, spiritual, emotional and physical guidance, supports students in leading a balanced and healthy lifestyle throughout their academic journey and beyond, bridges gaps to on/off-campus services and advocates for equitable opportunities for Indigenous peoples to thrive and feel an unwavering sense of belonging on the land, with their people and within themselves.

At WISC you will have access to a safe smudging space, traditional medicines, academic advice, advocacy, and tutors, internal and external information sessions, computers, laptops and printing, a quiet study space, a mindfulness room, a commercial kitchen and a community garden.

The WISC space is accessible for Indigenous students 24/7 with fob access which can be provided by WISC staff.
